Hello, my name is Britney Martin. I am 15 years of age and I am the Manitoba Clydesdale Club Queen. I live on a farm just outside Strathclair with my parents, Blaine and Trinda Martin along with my sister, Charity. We raise, show and sell Clydesdale horses all across Canada and the USA. I enjoy riding horses along with driving them and I have a passion for the showring. My sister and I started off showing sheep then we moved to miniature horses, that's how we learned to drive. I will never forget the day Dad decided we were ready to drive the heavy’s all by ourselves, Charity and I drove them one mile down the road and back.
Throughout my last year as Queen I enjoyed presenting ribbons at all the smaller fairs around Manitoba and at the Manitoba Clydesdale Classic. I got to meet many nice and interesting individuals and to see old friends. I had a great year and look forward to 2010 for my second year as Queen.
